Gears 2 Composer Revealed (Gears of War 2)

Gears of War 2 Lead Designer Cliff Bleszinski has revealed at E3 that composer Steve Jablonsky (Transformers, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) is scoring the music for Gears of War 2, the forthcoming blockbuster sequel third person shooter developed by Epic Games.

Steve Jablonsky’s previous video game soundtrack credits include Transformers: The Game (Activision), Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath (Electronic Arts) and additional music for Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (Konami). However he is most noted for his collaborations with Hollywood movie director and producer Michael Bay on major motion pictures like The Island and Transformers.

Today, details are coming in about what Bungie intended to reveal at Microsoft’s E3 press conference. While specific information about its upcoming Halo project remain a secret, the developer reportedly planned to show a sixty second "knock’em down" teaser trailer, only to have it pulled at the last minute.

In the latest HotSpot podcast -from GameSpot- , numerous sources reported that "the level of realism as far as the graphics go in God of War 3" looks very close to the CG teaser. They actually said it is looking like Beowulf the movie. The discussion lasts 59 minutes.

Karl Phillips writes, "Accidentally leaving my XBOX360 unplugged from my power outlet, my internal clock was wiped clean and my date and time were reverted back to the XBOX360’s launch date. Without realizing this, I fired up the Too Human demo without signing into XBOX Live only to see both the Berserker and Commando classes were unlocked for use. It seems as long as the date remains 11-22-2005, those classes will be unlocked. Look on for screenshots of these classes unlocked…"

PS3 Version of Postal 3 Delayed (Postal III)

While the PC and Xbox 360 iterations of Postal III were tentatively slated for release in Q2 2009, Jaret noted that those two editions are now more likely to arrive in "mid-to-late 2009."

However, he was unable to provide an estimated release date for the PS3 version, attributing the uncertainty to technical concerns in utilizing the game’s licensed Source engine on the platform.

Only one game utilizing Valve’s Source engine technology, its mega-compilation The Orange Box, has been released on PS3. While the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the title were developed internally at Valve, the PS3 port was outsourced to EA UK, and was widely chastised for its performance issues compared to the other editions.
